Pianist Sehee Lee, a native of Korea, is a collaborative pianist and chamber musician. She is Lecturer of Piano and Collaborative piano at Texas A&M University -Kingsville. Dr. Lee has appeared as a collaborative pianist and soloist in a variety of venues across the United States, Germany, Luxembourg, Mexico and Korea.
She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Piano Performance from the Kyunghee University in Seoul, Korea. She continued her studies with Anita Pontremoli at Cleveland Institute of Music, where she earned her Artist Diploma and Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano. During her time at CIM, Dr. Lee has received honors including the Rosa Lobe Memorial Award in Accompanying, which is given to recognize the highest level of artistic achievement. She earned her doctoral degree in Collaborative Piano at the Arizona State University, where she studied with Andrew Campbell as a full-scholarship recipient.
Dr. Lee has attended the Music Academy of the West (Santa Barbara, CA) and the Kent Blossom Music Festival (Kent, OH) as a fellowship student. As an active collaborator, she was invited to the Killington Music Festival in Vermont, Vianden Music Festival in Luxembourg and Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine as a staff pianist. She currently performs as a member of the Vista trio, a flute, saxophone and piano ensemble. Dr. Lee gives over fifty recitals with singers and instrumentalists every year throughout the United States and Korea.
