Luis QuinteroLuis Quintero, Guitar, studied with Sharon Isbin at The Juilliard School of Music and received the scholarship for "Excellence in the Arts.” Prior, he studied music at the José Angel Lamas School of Music in Caracas, Venezuela, receiving the title of “Guitar Executing Professor.” Hailed as “a possessor of a refined technique, an exceptional musicality and an impressive virtuosity,” Luis Quintero is one of the most worthy representatives of the Great Venezuelan Guitar School.

Winner of the Antonio Lauro Prize at the Rodrigo Riera Contest, Luis Quintero is a regular guest at The International Guitar Festival as well as Artistic Director of the International Festival of Guitar and Soloists of the World Academy. He has also received countless recognitions and honors, among them the José Félix Ribas Order in First Class, and has been the recipient of dedications of musical works by many outstanding Venezuelan composers. His discography includes the collection of 4 C.Ds. called "JOYAS LATINOAMERICANAS," an Anthology of Latin American Composers for Guitar (Antonio

Lauro, Rodrigo Riera, Gentil Montaña, Agustín Barrios and Heitor Villalobos); Volume 1 and 2 of "JOYAS VENEZUELANS," an Anthology of Venezuelan Music for Guitar. He has had the privilege of being guest soloist of the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra on two European tours.
