S. Mark AliapouliosS. Mark Aliapoulios, baritone holds a BM in Music Education Summa Cum Laude (University of Miami) and an MM in Vocal Performance With Honors and Distinction (New England Conservatory). He has recently been promoted to full Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University where he serves as Chair of Vocal Studies. He joined the NEMC Faculty in 2009 directing the Chamber Choir until 2014 when he joined the Musical Theatre Program.

World Premieres include creating the roles of “Creon” in Medea (Ray Luke/Rockefeller Foundation Grant), “Cadmos” in The Bacchae (Theodore Antoniou/Athens Festival Greece), “The Father” in The Juniper Tree (Phillip Glass/American Repertory Theatre) and “Stumpy” in the musical The Luck of Roaring Camp (Lubben Brothers/PBAU Theatre).

He has taught on the faculties of The University of Massachusetts, Boston University, New England Conservatory, The University of Miami, Florida Atlantic and Florida International Universities. He has appeared as guest soloist with The Boston Symphony, The Cleveland Orchestra, The Portland Symphony (ME), The Pittsburgh Symphony, The Shinsei Nippon Symphony (Tokyo), The Tanglewood Festival Chorus, The Mark Morris Dance Company, The Boston Ballet Orchestra, The Opera Company of Boston, Boston Lyric Opera, Palm Beach Opera, The Miami Bach Society, Festival Miami, under the batons of leading international conductors Leonard Slatkin, Seiji Ozawa, Kurt Mazur, Eric Leinsdorf, Lucas Foss, Sarah Caldwell, Jonathan McPhee, Jaime Laredo and Robert Shaw. He conducted the FIU Concert Choir recording of Orlando Garcia’s Auschwitz (“nunca se olvidaràn”) receiving a Latin Grammy nomination on the Toccata Classics label.
